A leading day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 4 - 13 yrs set on the idyllic North Norfolk Coast

Getting to School

We run supervised school mini-buses covering Norwich, Aylsham, Dereham and Fakenham every morning, and return journeys home on four days per week.

The bus takes children from age 4 upwards, and seat belts are fitted as standard.

Our Bus chaperone, Sheila Murray, accompanies the children and driver on every journey, ensuring the children have a warm welcome.

Our mini-bus plans are flexible, please get in touch to find out more.

Beeston Hall is situated on the outskirts of West Runton, between Sheringham

Rail

The nearest stations are Sheringham, which is less than 5 minutes by car from School, and West Runton, which is a 10 minute walk from School.  Both of these have a direct link to Norwich. From Norwich there are regular services to London Liverpool Street (a journey of just under 2 hours with stops at Stowmarket, Ipswich and Colchester), to Peterborough (which has direct links to all parts of the country) and to Cambridge.

By air

The School is only a 35 minute drive from Norwich International Airport (with daily flights to Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport), under 2 hours to Stansted and 3 hours to Heathrow and Gatwick.

Internationally accessible location

Despite its rural location, Beeston Hall is very well located for children living further afield. We are just 35 minutes from Norwich Airport and its uniquely convenient connection to Amsterdam’s international hub (Schiphol). Children particularly like this route because of the small scale and ease of transfer, and KLM’s service for unaccommpanied minors – one of the few airlines still operating this facility. Stansted Airport is 2 hours away and London 3 hours away. Although there is a train station five minutes from the school we can arrange transport with approved drivers or chaperones to/from these connections, and are happy to make arrangements for transfers on behalf of parents.

Now that we are living in London, we find Beeston provides the perfect mix between big city life and the freedom and innocence of a country childhood. The school is very flexible and provides chaperones for the train, meaning that children can come home for exeats and have a proper weekend with us.
