Our community links children, parents and staff with people in our broader network – our neighbours, local schools, businesses, charities and organisations.
We cast our net wide, going out to the community with our music performances and productions, and inviting the local community in to school for literary events, theatre productions, sports coaching and tournaments. Visitors often notice the open-hearted nature of our children, when they are welcomed at Beeston to charity fashion shows, concerts, fetes, and guest speaker events.
‘Pupils make a significant contribution to the school and wider community. They are keen to take on responsibility, and enthusiastically support charities and community groups.’
ISI Report 2017
Our children engage with local issues, such as the Cromer & District Food Bank, and more international issues such as Singing for Syrians, learning first-hand about the objectives of causes, and developing skills and expertise which will remain with them beyond their school years.
We welcome representatives from a range of charities each year to contribute to assemblies and the PSHEE programme. Our hope is that, through their exposure to a range of activities and causes, our children will develop a sense of the type and scale of need that exists in the wider world.
