Earlier today Eliza B, Nacho and Mungo competed in the Langley School History Heroes Final. All three had acquitted themselves well in the preliminary round and were confident having prepared thoroughly for their final presentation. Eliza went first showing great passion for her subject matter, particularly excelling in the Q and A at the end of the presentation. The next contestant from Beeston was Mungo who gave a superbly detailed biography concerning the feats of Napoleon Bonaparte. The final Beeston performer was Nacho speaking about Ignatius of Loyola. Nacho was supreme, wowing the judges with his knowledge of Ignatius. After Nacho spoke the judges, Mr Wood and Mr Sparkle, retired to deliberate. On their return thus were the announcements:
- Eliza B
The results represented a clean sweep for Beeston and unheard of in the history of the competition thus far. On reflection it was undoubtedly a testament to the determination of all three who prepared superbly for the event. Needless to say I was a very proud teacher indeed. Bravo all three!
