Beeston Hall lifts Oundle Science Day Trophy!

Oundle School welcomed seven schools for their Prep School Science and Engineering Day yesterday. Pupils arrived at Oundle from Beeston Hall, Witham Hall, Old Buckenham Hall, St Hugh’s, Orwell  Park, Spratton Hall and Glebe House School.

Our pupils were hosted at Oundle’s new STEM facility ‘SciTec’ as they participated in a variety of activities from conducting solubility experiments, testing crumple zones and packaging to protect eggs, programming a robot to pick up a ping pong ball and even extracting DNA from their cheeks!

The pupils competed in each activity and collaborated well with their team to consider solutions, ideas and outcomes. The day was a huge success and enjoyed by pupils and teachers alike with the added bonus that the Beeston team of Rebe, Henry, Elisabeth and Ethan came home with the Science Day Trophy!
