The Arts

The Arts are valued at Beeston. From the moment children join the School they are encouraged to fully participate in all Arts related activities - of which there are many.
Using the platform of Music, Art and Drama lessons as a springboard, children find themselves presented with a rich variety of opportunities. Drama productions, large and small, abound; Music groups cater for every taste - from the likes of Orchestra and Chamber Music to Rock and Jazz groups - while the children's artwork is professionally mounted and displayed throughout the School.

Debating and literary work flourishes, with children enjoying visits at school from the likes of Eoin Colfer and Michael Morpurgo, with workshops conducted by other notable authors, poets and illustrators - many of which are open to parents and friends as well. A 'Literary Week' is held each October when the children enjoy the opportunity to listen and learn from visiting guests, with book shops and practical workshops the norm.

It is no surprise that our recent ISI Inspection report commented upon the fact that, 'The Arts are cherished at Beeston.' We certainly like to think so!
