| About Us
Beeston Hall School was established in 1948 in a Regency house on the North Norfolk coast. Situated half-a-mile from the sea in 30 acres of beautiful countryside, the school fields adjoin the National Trust estates of Felbrigg and Sheringham, and provide a rare, idyllic rural environment in which children thrive.
As an Independent boarding and day preparatory school for boys and girls aged between 7 and 13, the school is a charitable trust, administered by a board of governors. The Headmaster is a member of the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools and of the Boarding Schools' Association.
Beeston's children move on far and wide to all the leading Public Schools in accordance with parental wishes and where the children's personalities and talents will be best suited. This is achieved through the Common Entrance Examination at 13, although the School's most able pupils gain entry through scholarships (not only academic, but also art, music, drama, general or sports) - a route by which the School has enjoyed considerable success in recent years.
The School is well resourced, with specialist teaching rooms, including Science laboratories, I.C.T suites, Design Technology facilities, an Art Centre, a 13-room Music School, a Library and a Lecture room. Excellent sports facilities include 25 acres of playing fields, a full size Astroturf pitch, all-weather and grass tennis courts, an athletics track, a shooting range, cricket nets, a multi-purpose Sports Hall and a heated outdoor pool.
The boarding accommodation is child friendly and thoughtfully designed - as it should be to create a home-from-home environment for its boarders.
The ratio of teaching staff to pupils is approximately 7:1
